Agriculture and environment are the subject of much discussion and legislation at European level. This is the case for packaging, particularly plastic, which is now governed by a European regulation, the famous “PPWR”. COPA-COGECA1 explains what is at stake for the agri-food sector.

Packaging in the agri-food chain

Packaging plays a pivotal role in the agri-food chain. It protects perishable goods from damage during transport, and extends their shelf life, ensuring consumers have access to safe, fresh and high-quality food. Beyond functionality, packaging plays an essential role in the marketability of products, with designs that convey quality and authenticity. For many agricultural goods, particularly those tied to specific regions, packaging also preserves and promotes cultural heritage, showcasing traditional practices or Geographical Indications (GI) that add to their identity.

There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don't look even slightly believable. If you are going to use a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you need to be sure there isn't anything embarrassing hidden in the middle of text. All the Lorem Ipsum generators on the Internet tend to repeat predefined chunks as necessary, making this the first true generator on the Internet. It uses a dictionary of over 200 Latin words, combined with a handful of model sentence structures, to generate Lorem Ipsum which looks reasonable. The generated Lorem Ipsum is therefore always free from repetition, injected humour, or non-characteristic words etc.
