A new tool to optimise climatic conditions in protected crops: an innovative anti-thermal additive based on nanoparticles. Protected crops, particularly greenhouses horticulture, use the multiplier effect of air confinement to create favourable climatic conditions for crop growth. This effect must be controlled to adapt to daily and seasonal variations in light and heat. In addition to listing the various existing methods, this article presents a novel additive which allows a more efficient control of infrared radiation (NIR) under canopy. We include this article as an extension of the special cover focus.

Protected greenhouse cultivation plays a crucial role in food production by providing a controlled environment for growing plants under challenging climatic conditions. However, at certain times of the year or certain times of the day, high temperature inside these semi-enclosed spaces can become a limiting factor if not properly managed.

Thermal control of the greenhouse: a determining factor

Temperature in the greenhouse is not simply a matter of comfort; it has a direct impact on the biological processes of the plants. An environment that is too warm can lead to heat stress, slowing growth, reducing flower or fruit production, and even causing irreparable damage to plants. Reducing the temperature, where appropriate, helps create optimal conditions for plants to express their full potential.

There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don't look even slightly believable. If you are going to use a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you need to be sure there isn't anything embarrassing hidden in the middle of text. All the Lorem Ipsum generators on the Internet tend to repeat predefined chunks as necessary, making this the first true generator on the Internet. It uses a dictionary of over 200 Latin words, combined with a handful of model sentence structures, to generate Lorem Ipsum which looks reasonable. The generated Lorem Ipsum is therefore always free from repetition, injected humour, or non-characteristic words etc.
