Marcela Moisson, the marathon runner in round ball net recycling A French industry : from use to second life

AUTHOR : The Editor
Marcela Moisson comes from the textile industry in Peru and has been working since 2012 on her project to recycle round baled nets. The start-up RecyOuest was born. After so many years of patience, perseverance and courage, the plant will open in mid-2021 in Argentan in the Orne department. It’s a flagship example of an entrepreneurial initiative made possible by integration into an ecosystem. Plasticulture Magazine takes a closer look at the RecyOuest saga, which shows that recycling is no easy task, and that patience and perseverance are undeniable assets.
Management of used nets
In the ten years that the FIFAU¹, sector has been in existence, the French market has consumed 100,000 tonnes of round bale netting. Over the same period, A.D.I.VALOR has collected 47,000 tonnes, and these volumes are increasing year on year, with an estimated collection rate of 80% by 2022. The APE FIFAU branch of the Comité français des Plastiques en Agriculture (CPA) and its partner A.D.I.VALOR are therefore fulfilling their primary mission of providing farmers with solutions for collecting the used plastics they use in agricultural production. For the most part, in the absence of a recycling solution, these collected tonnages were directed towards recovery in Solid Recovery Fuels (SRF), or even in technical landfill centres (TLC).
Under the provisions of the AGEC Act of February 2020², products containing more than 30% plastic will no longer be sent to landfill in France. Eventually, any product without a recycling solution is likely to be banned or to be subject to a tax (up to €800 per tonne). Material recycling is therefore becoming a strategic issue for the round bale netting sector. RecyOuest was set up in 2013 to find recycling solutions for round bale netting and agricultural twine.
A twofold technical challenge
There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don't look even slightly believable. If you are going to use a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you need to be sure there isn't anything embarrassing hidden in the middle of text. All the Lorem Ipsum generators on the Internet tend to repeat predefined chunks as necessary, making this the first true generator on the Internet. It uses a dictionary of over 200 Latin words, combined with a handful of model sentence structures, to generate Lorem Ipsum which looks reasonable. The generated Lorem Ipsum is therefore always free from repetition, injected humour, or non-characteristic words etc.
