Plastics recycling reduces the use of natural resources and cuts greenhouse gas emissions compared to the use of virgin resources. This is what the Life Cycle Assessment carried out by ADEME (French Agency for Ecological Transition) is studying as part of the “National Recycling Report”. We spoke to ADEME to find out more about their methodology and the issues involved.

French national recycling report

Since 2002, the “National Recycling Report”1 (NRR), published by ADEME, has presented the main trends in recycling figures in France for the various key materials of the French economy, including plastics. It measures the industry’s degree of circularity, based on the quantities of materials produced in France, imported, exported, recycled and reincorporated.

Calculated per tonne of Recycling Raw Material (RRM) ready for use in France, the ADEME’s NRR provides flows at the various stages of recycling, socio-economic data for the value chain and environmental results.

There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don't look even slightly believable. If you are going to use a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you need to be sure there isn't anything embarrassing hidden in the middle of text. All the Lorem Ipsum generators on the Internet tend to repeat predefined chunks as necessary, making this the first true generator on the Internet. It uses a dictionary of over 200 Latin words, combined with a handful of model sentence structures, to generate Lorem Ipsum which looks reasonable. The generated Lorem Ipsum is therefore always free from repetition, injected humour, or non-characteristic words etc.
