Optimizing the radiation received by greenhouse crops. CPA Technical Days 2012
Greenhouses protect crops and provide some control over climatic conditions. They also allow for a modification of solar radiation useful for plants. By doping greenhouse covering films with compounds that modify the solar spectrum, it is possible to increase photosynthesis efficiency. For several years, PhotoFuel has been developing new products designed to improve the optical and spectral properties of agricultural covering films. We will present the results obtained in the laboratory and in pilot greenhouses, which demonstrate the interest of the approach for industry and the agricultural world. On this basis, PhotoFuel now offers established manufacturers the opportunity to produce and market next-generation agricultural films.
