Managing their end-of-life is essential, but complex when these films are thin and soiled. Recycling should nevertheless enable the production of high-quality plastics. We asked SOREMA, one of Europe’s leading recycling facilities, about the specifics of agricultural plastics processing.

Plasticulture Magazine: Can you give our readers a brief introduction to SOREMA?

Dario Previero : SOREMA is a European leader in the design and construction of plants for recycling polyethylene from industrial and agricultural plastic waste. It is the plant division of recycling machinery manufacturer Previero.

SOREMA stands out for the modular design of its washing lines, specifically tailored to each customer. It is able to guarantee compliance with the conditions required for the production of high-quality material, from greenhouse films with thicknesses of between 80 and 150 µm, mulch films with thicknesses of between 8 and 20 µm and stretch films with thicknesses of between 10 and 25 µm, with the last two types subject to heavy contamination from soil, stones, sand and dry and wet organic waste.

SOREMA offers systems ranging from 500 kg/h to 3,000 kg/h.

Plasticulture Magazine: What are the specifics of recycling film used in agriculture?

<div class='zx-dummy-content''>

There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don't look even slightly believable.
