Since 2021, the BIOMALEG project has been studying the level of degradation of mulching films. After last year’s presentation of the project in Plasticulture Magazine No. 142, the first publications have just appeared. St\u00e9phane Bruzaud, who is in charge of the project at the Universit\u00e9 Bretagne Sud, tells us about the main findings.<\/h4>\n

The aim of the BIOMALEG project was to answer producers’ questions about the fate of biodegradable mulching film in the soil. This 3-year project, funded by ADEME (APR GRAINE), began in 2021. It brought together IRDL, the project leader, the Aurey Experimental Station\u00b9 and INRAE’s GenoSol platform. The BIOMALEG project has provided a better understanding of the fate of plastic mulches, particularly biodegradable mulches, in agricultural soils<\/p>\n

There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don't look even slightly believable.
