As farmers face increasing pressure to improve sustainability, operational efficiency, feed quality and economic performance, many livestock farmers are rethinking their silage system. Now increasing in popularity, film binding, also known as Film&Film wrapping, is attracting those who seek well preserved, high quality silage.<\/p>\n

Widely used in many countries for several years, Film&Film overcomes the limitations of traditional netwrap binding. It addresses current challenges related to forage quality, climate variability, and stricter environmental regulations. A quality balewrap system, which secures high nutritional value is becoming a priority for livestock farmers who want to protect their yields.<\/p>\n

Optimised bale density, ensuring better preservation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Using film to bind the bale rather than netwrap provides a higher holding force. By limiting the bale’s expansion, it significantly reduces the amount of air trapped inside, a key element in fermentation quality. Traditional netwrap systems are now showing their limitations, whereasthe Film&Film method creates a denser, more stable bale, and therefore better protection against oxygen ingress.<\/p>\n
