Recent changes to the standards governing plastics in agriculture demonstrate the sector’s commitment to adopting more responsible environmental management, as part of a circular economy approach. Here we take a closer look at the issues involved and the next steps.<\/b><\/p>\n

Plastics in agriculture: optimising environmental management<\/b><\/p>\n

The use of plastics in the agricultural sector is constantly evolving, particularly in response to growing environmental concerns about their impact.<\/span><\/p>\n

Faced with these challenges, new eco-design guidelines have been introduced to improve the recyclability of plastics, control the presence of components that interfere with recycling and promote the sustainable management of these materials. These measures encourage the adoption of plastics that are easier to recycle and discourage the use of additives that could alter the quality of recycling.<\/span><\/p>\n
