At a time when the need for a circular economy is widely recognised, the stakeholders in the plastic industry are all making the same observation: the reality of the market makes the economic equation between virgin and recycled materials a difficult one. But solutions do exist! Explanations and recommendations from the Plasticulture and Agroenvironment Committee.<\/b><\/p>\n

Why integrating recycled materials is not a priority<\/b><\/p>\n

While targets for recycling and the integration of PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) are increasingly sought and desirable, it has to be said that there are still many obstacles to achieving the European targets of 30%<\/span>2<\/span>, particularly for agricultural plastics. In particular, there is a real problem of competitiveness in getting manufacturers to switch en masse to the use of recycled materials.<\/span><\/p>\n
