Finding production methods to address impasses in the face of certain bio-aggressors is a major challenge. The Agrin\u00e9a closed greenhouse innovative concept is a promising solution: results of this first season carried out at the Inv\u00e9nio station<\/b>1<\/b>.<\/b><\/p>\n

Proven insect-proof protection against bio-aggressors<\/b><\/p>\n

Bio-aggressors are a constant threat to glasshouse crops. Attacks by Drosophila suzukii on strawberries and bugs <\/span>(Lygus sp., Halyomorpha halys and Nezara viridula) <\/span><\/i>on aubergines are of particular concern. These bio-aggressors are causing major losses, which could jeopardise the viability and long-term survival of these crops in certain regions and at certain times of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n

In response to this threat, the installation of insect-proof protection has proved effective from the very first season. The nets form a physical barrier against pests without the use of chemicals, reducing the ecological impact and the risk of pest resistance. Compared with strawberry and aubergine crops grown in other facilities on the site (plastic greenhouses, tunnels), the damage caused by bugs on aubergines was much lower and no drosophila was found in the Agrin\u00e9a greenhouse, unlike outdoor crops, which were affected.<\/span><\/p>\n
