La Red is a major player in recycling in Spain, specialising in agricultural plastics and now part of the Veolia group. The Editor asked La Red for its vision of the management of used agricultural plastics in Spain. For Carmelo Justo, its Development Manager, this means ambitious legislation to support an integrated system with shared responsibility between all the players: public authorities, farmers, distributors and manufacturers.

In recent decades, the use of plastics in agriculture has experienced significant growth due to their strength, durability and low cost properties. However, improper management of agricultural plastic waste can have serious environmental consequences, such as soil and water contamination, clogging of drains and irrigation canals and affect biodiversity. In addition, agricultural plastic waste, if not properly treated, can become a source of uncontrolled fires and generate a negative visual and landscape impact in rural areas.

La Red by Veolia, a company dedicated to plastics recycling, has been providing services for the integrated management of agricultural plastic waste since 2008, with a particular focus on low-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene and polypropylene. Implementing the optimal treatment of these wastes is essential to minimise their impact on the environment and ensure the sustainability of agriculture.

There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don't look even slightly believable. If you are going to use a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you need to be sure there isn't anything embarrassing hidden in the middle of text. All the Lorem Ipsum generators on the Internet tend to repeat predefined chunks as necessary, making this the first true generator on the Internet. It uses a dictionary of over 200 Latin words, combined with a handful of model sentence structures, to generate Lorem Ipsum which looks reasonable. The generated Lorem Ipsum is therefore always free from repetition, injected humour, or non-characteristic words etc.
