Combining the need for production with the need to reduce impact

AUTHOR : Laurent DEGENNE, Farmer¹ & Chairman of the Hauts-de-France Regional Chamber of Agriculture
The Hauts-de-France region occupies a special place in French agricultural production, with its mix of arable farming, livestock farming and specific crops. To introduce our focus on the north-east, we spoke to Laurent Degenne, who shared his detailed and visionary view of the industry.
Plasticulture Magazine : What are the specific characteristics of farming in Hauts-de-France?
Laurent Degenne : Agriculture plays a very important role in the region, with 2.1 million hectares of Utilised Agricultural Area (UAA) out of the 3 million hectares of land, with a predominance of crop production and a very strong presence of mixed farming production systems; more than 40% of the 21,700 farmers are also livestock farmers.
There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don't look even slightly believable. If you are going to use a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you need to be sure there isn't anything embarrassing hidden in the middle of text. All the Lorem Ipsum generators on the Internet tend to repeat predefined chunks as necessary, making this the first true generator on the Internet. It uses a dictionary of over 200 Latin words, combined with a handful of model sentence structures, to generate Lorem Ipsum which looks reasonable. The generated Lorem Ipsum is therefore always free from repetition, injected humour, or non-characteristic words etc.
